About
It all started with a bike ride.
BICII has two halves: the builds, by Bobby and FUK CYCLES, and the long rides, which is where George comes in.
The longer version
In June 2024 BICII put up its first route: 125 km, mostly on park connectors, best started at 3pm so you finish in the wee hours. George rode it that week: 140 km in the end (he forgot to track some of it), the last 60 soaking wet, with ten-plus storm-felled trees in the way.
The Green Corridor route followed in July 2024, then a 30 km East Coast route. That July there was a bike-fix pop-up at the Maxwell Farmers Market with @singaporespokes and friends; in December, an 80 km Changi Village Night Ride. There's a Strava club too, for folks crazy about bicycles and long journeys.
Bobby, meanwhile, was running FUK CYCLES (Fixes. U. Keep.) with a fellow enthusiast. They build up, rebuild and resto-mod old mountain bikes, distribute parts from Indonesian makers Edsen Steel Craft and Ken Bike, and host meet-ups; the last one drew a bigger crowd than they expected. A lot of what comes through is early-90s steel. If the frame is good, it deserves to be ridden again, not left at the void deck.

A collector and tinkerer. Has a Marin Bear Valley restoration behind him, a Miyata Elevation 10,000 and a Campagnolo-equipped Pinarello waiting their turn, and is prototyping a saddle.
